You Were My Beginning, and You'll Be My End

Chen Qing never dreamed she'd run into someone she hadn't seen in ten years on the sports field of her old school.

She was there as a homeroom teacher to greet the military training instructor leading her class.

Their eyes met across the few meters between them. It had taken ten years to cross that distance.

When a military cap landed on her head, Chen Qing froze. Memories of years ago suddenly flashed through her mind:

"You're giving me your hat? What if the instructor punishes you?"

"It's fine. Just make sure you don't get punished."

Ten years later, Chen Qing looked up and straightened the brim. "Are you allowed to do that? You're an instructor. Shouldn't you be setting an example?"
