The main story is complete, with extra chapters to come!

Synopsis:

After swallowing the pills, Jia Jing felt the intense burning pain swelling through his body and gave a relieved smile.

That person must have suffered just as much when he died.

Perhaps he should have followed him the moment he was forced to swallow the pills and was made to look like he had died suddenly.

What family burdens? What riches and glory?

Jia Jing was the first to ruin the family legacy; the Ning family was chiefly responsible for its downfall.

He had spent all these years clinging to life, working hard for half of it, all for nothing.

When he opened his eyes again, Jia Jing was stunned.

He had been reborn, back at the age when he was at his most vigorous.

That was the year his elder brother, heir to the family title, was still alive;

That was the year he had just passed the imperial examinations and was riding high on success;

That was the year that man was still the virtuous, revered Crown Prince, held in the highest regard by every minister.

Xiao Huaichuan approached with a smile and held out his hand. "A Yuan, come here."

Jia Jing had worked hard in his previous life and still ended up like that. The harder he worked, the more wary the current emperor became. The old families of the Four Kings and Eight Dukes ought to be a bunch of wastrels. That was the only way to put the emperor at ease.

So this time, he wouldn't work hard. He'd be a pampered layabout instead.

Later...

The sons of the Four Kings and Eight Dukes (in despair): "We agreed to be useless good-for-nothings together. How did you suddenly become a hero who helped the Crown Prince seize the throne?"

Jia Fu (picking his nose): "My brother isn't just a hero who helped him seize the throne. He sleeps with the dragon, too! All that lovey-dovey stuff is unbearable to watch!"

Jia Jing (shrugging): "This is the best way to be a layabout."

Xiao Huaichuan carries him away.

A seemingly lazy but secretly hard-working bottom X a lovestruck Crown Prince who doesn't realize he's in love, top.

Notes: 1. Jia Jing is reborn! Jia Jing is the bottom, and Crown Prince Xiao Huaichuan is the top.

2. The events begin very early, and almost everything in the story is author-created!

3. Both are inexperienced, and this is a sweet romance.

Theme: If you could start over, would you have the courage to change things again?
