Suddenly, My Beloved Crossed My Mind

It was the fourteenth year since we graduated from university. I was traveling for work when I unexpectedly ran into Lu Shang on a street in a foreign city, in a place I thought was utterly ordinary.

To make polite conversation, I remarked that he had changed a little, but not much. Apart from getting older, time didn't seem to have left any notable mark on him.

Except for the ring on his left ring finger, he still seemed like the same clean-cut, easygoing, refined, and modest good friend I remembered.

He turned to look at me, froze for a moment, then quickly arranged a polite, somewhat distant smile on his face.

I said, "You and Bai Wei have been doing well lately, right?"
