"Ghost Knows" synopsis:

By chance, Si Chi learned that the boy he'd liked in high school had died. He was taken aback and didn't know what expression to wear. Hearing that name again felt like a lifetime had passed. He never thought his unrequited crush would end for good in this way.

He took leave from work and returned to his old school alone. He didn't know where the other man was buried, so this was the only way he could pay his respects. Back on the familiar floor, in the familiar classroom, he sat in the seat he'd stolen countless glances from.

He opened the contact he'd left untouched on his phone. The empty chat window revealed the truth: they'd never had anything to do with each other. He tapped away, typing out a long message, pouring out his once-hidden feelings in a way that would never get a reply.

It wasn't exactly pouring his heart out. He simply wanted to talk to him, even if there was no chance of a reply.

In the end, he deleted the entire message. He didn't know if the other man's family had his phone, and he wouldn't send it if there was any chance someone else might see it.

But he didn't know that from the moment he sat in a seat that wasn't his, the man he had loved, now a ghost, had been right beside him, watching it all.
