[I've started a new upcoming story. If you're interested, please add it to your favorites!]
I realized that I was a side character in a romance novel.
Since I was only a side character, I should live my own life in peace.
That was what I planned to do, at least.
But my fiance happened to be the popular second male lead in the romance novel.
And if I didn't end our engagement, my story would end with an accidental death.
Naturally, to avoid dying, I planned to ask him to break off our engagement.
It was only a marriage of convenience anyway. Even if... I really did like him, that wouldn't change anything.
Why? Because you have to stay alive before you can fall in love!
"I won't break off our engagement."
He flatly rejected my suggestion, yet looked as if he had something else to say.
Back then, I had no idea his next words would be:
"I love you. I've always loved you."
Note: The main story is written in third person.
Duke's daughter x Grand Duke of a neighboring country
Theme: A sweet romance built on a contract
