Primordial Era

Miaomiao is a little black cat with white gloves and socks, and she's a bit of a ditz, too. Just how much of a ditz? When her "mother," Luohou, and her father, Hongjun, were "arguing," she thought they were just flirting, so she went to Kunlun Mountain to play with her five senior brothers and sisters.

Investiture of the Gods

Miaomiao is a tiny calico cat who can take human form. She is descended from the last two Chaos Demon Gods in the world, beings with no saintly or divine status whom the new Heavenly Dao cannot tolerate. A thousand years ago, so that she could safely reach the tribulation and take her place among the gods, her father and "mother" joined forces to seal her away, putting her to sleep for a thousand years. This also gave Hongjun and Luohou time to put everything in place. Here, she meets Nezha. She has never met another child her age before, and the two of them have a wonderful time playing together. But their happy days do not last. She only goes to Kunlun Mountain for a short while, and when she comes back, her friend has cut away his flesh to return it to his mother and scraped off his bones to return them to his father. She gathers his remains and reforges his body, then joins him in helping the Zhou overthrow the Shang. But why does her friend give her flowers?

Journey to the West

She and her husband Nezha, the Central Altar Marshal, Grand Master Tongtian, Mighty and Manifest General, and Great Deity of the Three Altars and Seas, both serve in the Heavenly Court. The difference is that she has more freedom. She is usually at the Tushita Palace or the Zixiao Palace beyond the Thirty-Three Heavens, and the Jade Emperor rarely gives her orders. But one day, a little stone monkey is born. Curious, she drags Nezha along to take a look, and discovers that the little stone monkey is a "child" left behind by Sister Nuwa. After learning the truth, she often takes care of him. But while she is away at the Zixiao Palace, the little stone monkey attacks the Heavenly Court. He is later captured by the Buddha, also known as the Buddha Rulai, and imprisoned beneath Five Elements Mountain to await the arrival of Jin Chanzi. This makes Miaomiao furious. Wielding the Red Thread Ball and the Hongmeng Jade Tablet, she gives him a thorough beating. Hongjun finally stops her, but she is still not appeased. So, as she and Nezha help with the pilgrimage west, they also keep sabotaging the Western lands.
