So I Had No Choice but to Become an S-Rank Sentinel's Spirit Guide

At the very top of the White Tower, a mysterious being was imprisoned.

They said she was a woman, stunningly beautiful and captivating, yet frighteningly cold.

Whenever she grew angry, she unleashed the oppressive force of the ancient deep sea, making everyone bow to her.

At the very bottom of the White Tower, another person was imprisoned. He was no mystery. Everyone knew who he was.

The lowest level of the White Tower was a prison built to hold just one man.

An S-rank sentinel with no spirit form, known as a human weapon.

The two of them could hardly have been more different, yet on the day the White Tower erupted into chaos, they met...

This is my third year trapped in the world of a human novel.

According to the plot, the institution called the White Tower will fall into turmoil, and equality for guides and sentinels will come about in the blink of an eye.

Then a new era will begin. The first guides will enter the military academy, and the frail heroine, branded useless, will embark on her story of leveling up into everyone's favorite.

It should have nothing to do with me, except I'm the first stroke of luck on the heroine's path to leveling up.

I'm a mermaid. My tears are the heroine's stimulant, and my hair, skin, scales, and eyes are all equipment and weapons for her.

I'm a cannon-fodder character. I need to escape.

At last, the plot began, and the internal strife carried me out of the White Tower. But my plan didn't go smoothly.

I ran into a sentinel. His translucent jellyfish spirit form wrapped around me, forcing us to sink together into the deep sea until we became one.

They thought I was his spirit form made flesh.

Looking at the sentinel, bristling with murderous intent and muscles and giving off a stay-away-from-me aura, I let them believe it.

That's right. I was going to cling to him and stay alive.

Just as his spirit form wantonly bound my waist and held me tight, I wrapped myself around him and refused to let go.
