After Forcibly Marrying the Gloomy General

Ji Chengyan woke up one morning to discover that he'd become the little emperor in the romance novel he'd been reading, the kind where readers pick a male lead to back.

Ji Chengyan: Huh?! I, the emperor, my ship, get married!!!!

The biggest obstacle between the two characters he'd shipped was that the heroine's older brother, Xiao Yanfeng, and the male lead he'd chosen...

Were sworn enemies.

Ji Chengyan: The lonely problem was something I only had to worry about as a reader. Now that I'm the emperor, all I have to do is arrange their marriage.

·

After he decreed the marriage, the heroine's older brother, Xiao Yanfeng, started showing up in front of Ji Chengyan every few days.

He knelt, asking him to revoke the decree.

He saved someone's life, asking him to revoke the decree.

In the end, he collected ten pieces of evidence against Ji Chengyan's chosen male lead, and still asked him to revoke the decree.

Ji Chengyan: Thanks for asking. I'm in ancient times, obsessively shipping a couple, but they got a bad ending, and I was the one who split them up [heartbroken].

·

Because he'd been so genuinely invested in the ship, after dealing with the male lead he'd chosen...

Ji Chengyan got drunk.

On the way back to the palace, he ran into

-Xiao Yanfeng.

-The culprit behind the bad ending of Ji Chengyan's ship.

Reeking of alcohol, Ji Chengyan declared, “How dare you, Great General! I've already dealt with him. Now I'm going to arrange a marriage for you, and I'll pick someone you can't stand.”

“Your Majesty, do you mean that?”

“Of course!”

“Then I don't like Your Majesty right now.”

Ji Chengyan: ????
