At his wits’ end, Meng Jinzhou went to ask his all-powerful maternal uncle, Meng Jingheng, for help.

But that uncle, who had spent years abstaining from worldly pleasures and praying to Buddha, deliberately revealed the kiss mark on his neck and looked up to warn him.

“Show some respect to your future aunt.”

Meng Jingheng was the head of the Meng family, standing at the peak of the social pyramid. He had seen more than enough greed and ambition. To him, even the most beautiful face was nothing but a skull beneath its flesh, a fleeting sight soon forgotten.

Everyone praised his upright conduct and called him a true gentleman. In truth, he loved playing with people’s hearts. Beneath the decorative buttons that covered half his neck was a tattoo of a serpent, fangs bared and tongue flicking.

Then he met an amusing young man who darted around like a little mouse. His eyes, however, were clear and perceptive, seeing right through Meng Jingheng’s wicked nature and rampant desires beneath that handsome exterior.

The boy, his face concealed, looked up and warned him, “Mr. Meng, you pray to Buddha with devotion, but your evil desires run deep. Be careful, or even the Bodhisattva may not be able to save you.”

Meng Jingheng watched him layer on disguise after disguise, going from someone everyone despised to someone everyone adored. But he always knew Lin Jiahe was greedy for money and selfish, and stingy with his sincere affection.

Yet even though he saw through everything, he had already fallen for him without realizing it.

Fortunately, he had enough money and power, as well as a sincere heart that might mean very little to Lin Jiahe. Surely, in the end, he could win him over.

Meng Jingheng looked up at him, yet held tight to both his hands. “I don’t ask the Bodhisattva to save me. I only ask that we drown together in the sea of earthly desire.”

You’re greedy for money, selfish, and coldhearted. I’m cruel, arrogant, and insatiable. We were made for each other.

Reader Advisory (Please Read!)

1. This is written to indulge my personal tastes, and the characters’ values are questionable. I’m writing it for fun, so please don’t force yourself to read if it’s not for you, and please don’t insult me (I’m begging you).

2. The author is a shameless romance fan. Expect melodramatic, sweet, satisfying chaos, a harem-style battlefield, and rivalry between men. No choosing between love interests: there is a confirmed main pairing, and they absolutely will not be split up.

3. Neither lead is a good person! They’re selfish, money-loving, coldhearted, and aloof, and they put on a good act. They think everyone else is an idiot and are highly vindictive. The gong is cruel and enjoys toying with people, and he stirs up trouble. He likes it strong. Later, he’ll pursue the other lead by any means necessary, with some coercion. Older gong, with a ten-year age gap.

4. There may be a later “keep the child, leave the father” plotline (meaning the pregnant lead runs away).

5. The shou only flirts with and uses the three supporting characters. There is some physical contact, but no relationships are confirmed. Later, there will be a scene where he turns the tables.

6. The outline is still being fleshed out. I’ll add and revise things later, but the overall story won’t change much~
