■ Old mansion, ancient corpse, murder case
Cheng Yuanxin is a problem girl who gives teachers headaches, makes her classmates avoid her, and yet gets love letters by the dozen.
Of course, she doesn't care about any of that. She only cares whether anyone truly cares about her.
Worst of all, she comes home to find her parents fighting. It looks like she'll soon become a child of a divorced, single-parent family.
Hoping to save their family from falling apart, the whole family takes a short trip to a nearby ancient town during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, at her mother's suggestion. Whether they can resolve their family crisis depends on whether this trip can bring a change for the better.
They stay in an old mansion with a history stretching back hundreds of years. Its antique wood carvings, fine furniture, and photographs of the original owners all suggest it once belonged to a wealthy, prosperous family.
The rare carving of a Qiongqiong creature is particularly eye-catching,
as are the faint traces of sorrow beneath the elegant, dignified appearance of the woman in the portrait.
They seem to hint at something...
It all begins when Cheng Yuanxin wanders into the landlord's off-limits storage room in the back courtyard and finds part of a human hand bone.
It seems that an utterly baffling murder took place here.
The trail goes cold more than two hundred years ago, back in ancient times.
What is the truth? Who killed her?
P.S.
· No romance for the protagonist, plot-focused, with romantic subplots for supporting characters
· I'm a new author, and this is my first mystery novel. Thank you for reading. Sending love ?(づ ̄ 3 ̄)づ
Theme: Everything starts with communication within the family...
It's a good short article. Although the writing style is a bit immature, the story has a beginning and an end, and several lines run in parallel. It's not bad.
