In October 2023, the second edition of Nangong Tan began to be written. After adapting the previous edition, the story of the young minister and the daughter of the aristocratic family was re-telled in a flying way by considering the characters' status from a historical perspective.
According to legend, before Emperor Wen, the Xiongnu often had conflicts with each other and had always used the method of marriage to ease their relationship. During Emperor Wu's time, the general Wei Changqing and his nephew Huo Wuji fought together in exchange for the dream of a happy life. Later, they met and fell in love with Cheng'enjun Chu Sinian. However, the young general died young in the end, leaving only Cheng'enjun.
