The outwardly flirtatious but inwardly devoted scheming top x the aloof, proud, and haughty bottom (content warnings below)
The advance preview for "Wow, Your Husband Finally Died" is out below. Please take a look and add it to your reading list! It really is going to be great. I promise I'll write it properly, please, please!
At seventeen, Bai Nian'an, who had power, wealth, and an absolutely perfect life, made one mistake: he played a three-month obedience game with Si Bei.
It was a rainy day.
A tall, fair-skinned boy worked up the courage to slip a pale pink love letter into his desk.
It was the fourteenth letter Si Bei had written to Bai Nian'an.
Bai Nian'an read it, then tore it up.
All he remembered was the line, "I really, really like you."
Late that night, he made the call.
Bai Nian'an asked, "You really like me?"
"I like you. I like you a lot. I like you so much."
Over the sound of the rain, the boy's voice was clear and cold. "If you like me, then play a game with me."
"Whatever I tell you to do, you have to do it."
After a long silence, Si Bei's voice turned hoarse. His youthful affection was beginning to twist into something distorted. He spoke into the phone:
"Then... would you belong to me, too?"
"Of course not. I don't belong to anyone."
After three months, the game ended just as it was meant to. Bai Nian'an deliberately called on a rainy day, Si Bei's favorite kind of day.
"I'm bored of this. We're done."
That day's rain was so heavy it drowned out Si Bei's sobs. The person on the other end was babbling all sorts of nonsense. What was he even saying?
That he couldn't bear to let Bai Nian'an go? That he really liked him?
That if they parted, he'd hate Bai Nian'an for the rest of his life?
"Hate me? Your life is so dull and empty. You should be grateful I bothered to toy with you."
Beep. The call ended. Si Bei hung up first.
From then on, rainy days became the weather Bai Nian'an hated most.
At twenty-three, it was raining again.
Bai Nian'an was blackmailed one night.
The other party came to his door with a video of him, threatening him. He had been prepared to sacrifice most of his family's fortune.
But Si Bei was kneeling on the ground, the vicious dog putting on a false show of devotion.
"Bai Nian'an, I want you to marry me."
"For a three-month term."
This time, I'll be the one to leave you behind.
This is a game about desire, trust, power, and self-discovery.
In one mad, hazy, secretive moment,
love is born.
Content warnings: 1. Imperfect characters.
2. A bittersweet romance.
3. Very melodramatic and clichéd: a book that uses an edgy premise to tell a pure-love story.
4. The characters don't fit traditional stereotypes for male-male romance. If you like an aggressive top x a delicate bottom, you may want to skip this one.
5. The two characters may seem sexually adventurous, but this is actually a classic story about a couple who are completely devoted to each other in both body and heart.
Advance preview for "Wow, Your Husband Finally Died":
Cunning fox of a top x sweet, naive little bunny of a bottom
The most serendipitous thing in the world: Ke Lü met Wen Yuan, an Omega whose pheromones were a 100% match for his, on his twenty-second birthday.
The most unfortunate thing in the world: that Omega had a husband.
The Omega didn't seem to have a very happy life, but that was all right. They say good things come in threes...
And here comes your third!
He had no morals, scheming to get close to Wen Yuan.
He had no bottom line, trying to steal his brother's partner.
He had no scruples, releasing his pheromones so Wen Yuan would long for him day and night, but never get to have him.
He had no limits: he couldn't wait for his good brother to die.
On the first day after his brother died, Ke Lü cried at the funeral in the morning, then messaged his brother's wife in the afternoon:
Bring your ID card. Marry me tomorrow.
Reading guide:
A purely sweet, harmless little treat. I got tired of writing angsty stories, so I'm taking a break with this one.
The top has no morals, no bottom line, no scruples, and no limits. He'll do whatever it takes to get what he wants.
Both leads are completely devoted to each other. The bottom's husband is useless.
There will be a brief rivalry between the men while the husband is on the brink of death. The original husband briefly pursues his wife, which is satisfying, but he doesn't win.
Moral paragons, please take another route. Everyone will be happier that way.
Theme: Don't be a coward in love.
At the end of "Spreading Flowers" 🎆 🎆 🎆 I cried because there was no extra
Finished spreading flowers! By the way, can there be a sweet wedding & honeymoon extra?
I want to see a sweet side story, but the text of the two little bitter gourds is too bitter 🐶
