Ji He joined the national team at fifteen. On his very first day, he nearly got caught naked by his new roommate while showering.
An orphan with no power or connections, he relied on his own left hand, hitting one shot after another to forge a future of his own.
He and Fan Zhendong were the twin stars of the new generation. Their left-handed and right-handed doubles partnership was seamless and unstoppable. From young players on the team, they grew into defenders of China's table tennis honors, devoting themselves to their country.
He and Xu Xin were known together as the “Golden Left Hands.” The mutual admiration between the left-handed shakehand player and the left-handed penhold player helped forge the glory of left-handed athletes. When the national team's key players were struggling in 2019, they shouldered the responsibility together and carried the flag for Chinese table tennis.
Ma Long called him “one of the two pillars of the national team.” The other was Fan Zhendong.
On the court, he was composed and calm, with an aggressive playing style. His rationality and wildness were both on full display.
Off the court, whenever there was an interview, his teammates would silently push him forward as the interviewee. His easygoing manner made him all the more likable.
Fans affectionately called him “Little Sweet Bean,” because his smile was truly incredibly sweet. Even men looking at a sweet girl couldn't get sweeter than that.
Ji He's prowess in men's and mixed doubles was plain to see, but don't overlook his singles ability just because he's left-handed.
He could push Ma Long to the brink, take Fan Zhendong to a deciding game without giving up a single point, and trade powerful shots with Xu Xin from mid- to long-distance. Every shot was explosive, making for an exhilarating spectacle.
He was a bona fide genius among geniuses, and he would one day stand on the highest podium and claim the glory that belonged to him!
Theme: I will defend the glory of China's national sport
I happened to watch the match between the Dragons and Lin Shidong tonight, and I just wanted to say that the charm of competitive sports lies in its cruelty. The same goes for He He and Dong Dong, right?
It's over, I can't bear to let it go; Extra Modo Modo, I look forward to the day when people who eat melons find out that we are sisters-in-law
I also wish that all your wishes come true and the flowers are finished! It feels like the pace is so fast, I can't bear to let it go 😭 I hope there will be an interview scene with Dongji in the extra story 🤩
I want to see the forum body, I really like the forum body
Damn it, I don't have Weibo, I missed a lot, hahaha
In the afternoon, seven of the top ten hot searches were on the list, but later in the evening they were gone. This is really amazing.
I first read wb, then db, and then moved to Zhihu. I had a wonderful day today.
Next time in Los Angeles, it's time to congratulate you for making your dream come true. Congratulations, come on!
