When the Fushiguro family moved into this building, you had just started first grade. Megumi Fushiguro and his sister seemed to be two years younger than you.

Your mother said their parents were irresponsible adults, so whenever you had free time, you ran over to play with them and brought them food from time to time.

A few years passed. You thought you were good friends, but the Fushiguro family left one quiet, late night.

You lay in bed and secretly cried a lot, hating those two brats for leaving without saying goodbye.

Life seemed to carry on peacefully like that, until one day in your third year of middle school, you heard that a handsome, fierce boy had transferred to your school.

He'd beaten several bullies who were trying to extort money from new students on his very first day.

It was Megumi Fushiguro. He definitely wouldn't remember you.

You were still angry. With that unspeakable ache in your heart, you occasionally crossed paths and exchanged glances, but you were always the first to look away.

Your life continued like that, moving slowly along a half-dry road after a heavy rain.

Until one day, you sat silently in front of the person you were arranged to marry. Under the expectant gazes of both families, you awkwardly made an excuse to leave, only for Megumi Fushiguro to grab you just outside the door.

“Do you want to enter my world?” He tightened his grip on your wrist, his brows knit together as the words trembled from his hoarse voice.
