I Save the Villain by Picking Up Trash

In the year 4608 of the Star Calendar, Youmi became the last surviving robot on Earth.

His body parts were wearing out, and his skin began to rot.

At the very end of his life, Youmi found a sleep pod, hugged a novel he loved, and drifted off.

When he opened his eyes again, Youmi discovered that he had transmigrated into the book.

When he woke up, Youmi had become a scruffy interstellar drifter. His original body was packed into a cheap sleep pod nearby, and a chattering Plot System hovered over his head.

To survive and repair his body, Youmi applied for a job at a garbage station.

And along the way... he found the book's villain, who was supposed to have nearly died, buried in the trash.

From the male lead's perspective

After Wujiu was gravely wounded and lost an arm, he was left in the garbage heap, barely clinging to life.

He lay there, dead to the world, for seven days. Then, in the middle of a torrential downpour, someone picked him up and took him home...

--- Youmi is a top-tier robot from the future. He is indistinguishable from a human and is an advanced life-form, specializing in building machines and mechs.
