In step with the times, Qiao Que transmigrated into an infinite-flow world.
This world was crawling with ghosts and monsters. Players had to keep acting according to the character assigned to them by the world. If the ghosts noticed anything amiss, the players would be brutally killed.
The moment Qiao Que opened his eyes, he was holding a [Low-Level Servant] card. In front of him stood a suited male ghost with blood streaming from all seven orifices, glaring at him with murderous resentment.
Trembling, Qiao Que raised the character card.
[Beautiful, Vicious Servant]
[You are the lowest-ranking servant, a menial worker, but you have a face that can bewitch anyone. You spend all day dreaming of seducing important people and climbing the ladder.
You think highly of yourself and look down on the other servants. You always dump your work on someone else, so everyone hates you.
Today, the new butler is looking for disobedient servants to make an example of. Everyone knows, but nobody told you. And now, you, the lazy one, have walked right into his sights.]
Qiao Que looked at himself, then at the ghost in front of him. "..."
The difference was that the ghost butler's tailcoat was buttoned up properly.
But Qiao Que's white shirt was barely buttoned at all. With black hair, red lips, and layers of silk shawls draped over him, his exquisite features radiated allure, making him look utterly improper.
Qiao Que stared at the filthy floor. "..."
Boss, you're slacking off on your very first day with the new supervisor?!
The butler gave a sinister, savage grin and told him that time was up. He hadn't finished mopping the floor, so according to the rules, he was being fired.
Then the butler opened his huge, bloody mouth. His black, razor-sharp nails clamped onto Qiao Que's shoulder, and he was just about to bite Qiao Que's head off
Qiao Que was scared out of his wits. In his panic, he had a sudden inspiration and stammered, "P-please don't fire me. I just wanted you to... notice me."
The butler's gaping maw froze.
With his one and only defining trait, [Bewitching Face], Qiao Que's adrenaline surged as he hurriedly thought of what to say.
"I wasn't slacking off on purpose. It's just that ever since I first saw you, I can't think about anything but you. I can't focus on my work." To prove his sincerity, Qiao Que trembled as he traced little circles on the butler's chest. "What should I do?"
[...] The butler's chest tingled. He quietly put away his fangs.
I know I shouldn't, but he asked me what I should do!
Having narrowly escaped disaster, the protagonist began his journey of survival through the infinite-flow world.
While the other players worked diligently to stay alive, knowing that one careless mistake could get them devoured by malicious ghosts and monsters, he discovered that his own missions had a very different feel to them.
[Two Masters in One House]
[S-rank difficulty from the start. The experienced players immediately abandoned the timid, useless rookie who was only dragging them down.
Only after they escaped all kinds of monster attacks and finally reached the boss's door did they open it and find the helpless servant player clinging to the evil spirit's neck, drenched in sweat and trembling as he kissed it.
"My lady, please... give me a title."
The evil spirit lowered its deathly pale face. Long black hair partly veiled it, and its lips curled, red as cinnabar. "Don't rush, my sweetheart... Once I've killed the master, I'll give you his title."
Experienced players: ...
Damn! How the hell did you get backstage access in here, too?!]
[Stalking]
[At first, when the protagonist drew the Stalker card, he wasn't all that panicked.
Wasn't he just supposed to play a creepy guy who stalked his idol every day? It sounded a little obnoxious, but not that hard.
Then he saw his idol grow eight tentacles and use their suckers to lick his fingers. "Eggplant."
Click.
Under the flash, the protagonist's ears turned red hot as he shook his head frantically.
"You've secretly taken 987 pictures of me. I can take pictures of you, too. That's only fair."]
