A Batling, but Red Hood's Kid

※ Written for fun and to unwind. No logic, and the characters may be out of character.

※ The plot, timeline, and logic have all been eaten by Little Rose. Expect [lots and lots and lots] of "headcanon".

※ I’ve barely read the manga. Most of what I know comes from various fan works, so expect "extensive headcanon" and probably some bugs.

※ The character setup is based on HO4 from the Call of Cthulhu scenario "Three Lovers After Losing My Memories" (by Fan). HO4’s backstory has been extensively expanded and partially altered, though the main background is unchanged. If you’re planning to play this scenario, please read with caution. It contains a tiny, tiny, tiny bit of cosmic horror.

※ The cover and first character illustration are from Neka [Artist: Bi Yue Xuan Xu Diao].

※ The second and third character illustrations are from Neka [Artist: Qian Linlin].

※ Updates are irregular. Updates are irregular. Updates are irregular. This story is really hard to write, but I especially want to tell it, so updates will be whenever I can manage. I’ll do my best to get it written.

Blurb:

Ross Red was a child abducted and taken to a laboratory.

At fifteen, she escaped, carrying five specially made nutritional supplements produced by the lab.

The five supplements ran out quickly. Before she starved to death, she had to find food that could give her energy: humanoid beings transformed from humans, mythical creatures, or specially formulated nutrient solution.

She didn’t know when the hunters from the lab would catch up with her again, but she ignored the path to safety and ran straight toward the endless black sea.

A strange fragrance drifted up from the seabed.

Ross thought, I can’t swim.

But she was about to starve to death.

If she had to die, she might as well die with a full stomach.

Ross plunged into the sea and pounced on a fish-headed, human-bodied monster.

Gurgle, gurgle...

She sank into the depths.

Ross Red was awakened by a burst of gunfire.

Instinctively, she ducked her head and hid herself.

The air was filled with the mixed scents of countless foods.

Gurgle.

She swallowed her saliva.
