The Heavenly Emperor

Life in the Divine Realm was peaceful and idyllic.

Divine Lord Hengyang had noble parents and a beautiful, innocent lover. His only worry was the potential mother-in-law and daughter-in-law troubles of the future.

At a banquet, a little girl fell from the sky and, in full view of everyone, wrapped her arms around him and called him Dad.

But the little girl's mother wasn't his lover.

Qing Lan, one of the banquet's background characters, had no idea how serious things were. He joked about the divine lords along with the other background characters...

Warnings:

This is a melodramatic romance with a tragic love story. It uses a xianxia setting to tell an old-fashioned, melodramatic love story, with plenty of tired and cliched tropes.

For example, dragons and phoenixes reign supreme.

For example, descending to the mortal realm to undergo tribulations.

For example, blood feuds.

For example, the conflict between the Celestial and Demon realms.

For example, pushing you away over and over because it's for your own good.

Important: Hengyang and Qing Lan are not related by blood! Hua Wei is not their child either!

Theme: Nothing matters more than being a good person.
