Fang Wanwan was a Pokemon fan who always had to prove herself.
After she was unexpectedly hit by a flowerpot, she opened her eyes in another world, with nothing but a useless System for company.
This world had been invaded by the uncanny. One terrifying instance after another swallowed countless lives.
Unluckily, she was pulled into an instance. Just as she faced life and death, the System chimed.
When she opened her eyes again, she had lost her human body.
Gas-like mist swirled around her. A black, spherical body was faintly visible, along with a pair of sharp eyes.
Reflected in a shattered piece of glass was a Pokemon called “Gastly.”
Fang Wanwan: ...No, turning into a Pokemon in a horror instance makes no sense, however you look at it!
It had been two years since the uncanny descended. Humanity had suffered devastating losses, and countless bodies had been piled up to pave a narrow road to survival.
Then, during an utterly ordinary “C”-rank invasion, a third kind of creature, neither human nor uncanny, appeared before humanity.
The Platinum Orb in the trembling hands of humanity's survivors gave off a glow. A corner of the uncanny instance split open, and Giratina, watching from the world between worlds, shattered the instance in an instant.
A new line was added to humanity's research agenda:
The feasibility of completely eliminating the uncanny with “Its” help.
There's a tiny bit of one-sided affection for the heroine, so it's technically romance, but you can read it as having no couple.
The protagonist can transform into Pokemon, all of them Ghost or Dark type, which fits the horror instances.
It's similar to secret identity stories, and the protagonist's identities are never exposed.
To outsiders, the protagonist's human identity seems to have a special connection with the Pokemon.
No need to think too hard while reading. It's a silly comedy.
Theme: I want to create a world with Pokemon!
I want to cleanse Zoroa!!
