Sheshen Mountain

A thousand years ago, there was a heavenly bridge on Penglai Island. Crossing it led to an immortal's abode, Mount Sheshen.

The immortal took in five disciples, and each of them was destined for immortality.

One year, demons and monsters ran rampant throughout the world. For the sake of all living beings, the immortal burned away their soul and returned their life to Heaven and Earth, sealing all the ghosts inside Mount Sheshen.

From then on, the immortal mountain and the immortal's five disciples vanished from the world, and the mountain became infested with evil ghosts.

An orphan, Shunhua was chosen as a priestess at the age of five after fighting her way out of the Spirit-Locking Tower in Qianyue Valley. She spent her days walking on the edge of a blade, believing she would eventually die on one of the Gu Bureau's missions.

When she was seventeen, she was ordered to go to Baiyun Mountain to exorcise evil spirits. On the way, she met a young man named Fu Zhouhuan.

The young man was timid and fearful, yet insisted on crossing the mountain. He pretended to be weak the whole way, but for some reason, Shunhua inexplicably took him along. Under his careful arrangements, she even escaped the Gu Bureau and began searching for the elusive immortal mountain in order to break the curse.

On their journey to find the immortal mountain, they encountered one strange event after another.

Then one day, Shunhua learned that she was the reincarnation of the immortal from Mount Sheshen. In her previous life, she had made someone a promise that she would never let him down in their next life. That person had been reincarnated as Fu Zhouhuan.

Shunhua didn't believe in the ties between past and present lives. She thought, As long as a soul hasn't vanished, it can have countless future lives. If every word said in every life has to be honored, won't it go on forever?

At first, she only searched for the mountain to save her own life. But as they accompanied each other on the journey, she gradually fell for him.

Their love had nothing to do with a promise from a past life, but in the end, it was fulfilled all the same.

This love will never change. I will never let you down.

The Cangmang Fu family once bought a handsome human test subject and named him Fu Zhouhuan.

During an experiment with a medicinal substance, Fu Zhouhuan regained the memories of his previous life. As dreams and reality kept overlapping, he went mad.

A cool, transcendent figure was forever etched into his mind. In his dreams, he always called her Master, his voice full of longing.

At last, he found an opportunity to escape the Fu family. He only meant to see that person, and had no intention of rekindling their past relationship.

But the moment he saw Shunhua again, he fell for her all over again.

He didn't know where love began, only that it had grown deep.

The pain of their past life was etched into his heart, never to fade.

In this life, they were no longer master and disciple, and no longer bound by worldly conventions.

Thank goodness he had found her once again.

Thank goodness she had kept her promise and would never let him down in this life.
