After I Hit on a Handsome Guy and Found Out He Was My Ex

1.

One sweltering afternoon, Yu Feiran loses a bet with a coworker while going downstairs to buy coffee. As punishment, she has to ask the handsome guy in the distance, who looks impossible to win over, for his WeChat.

The man wears a sleek black suit, his eyes deep and intense as he talks business in English on the phone. He's exactly Yu Feiran's type.

Yu Feiran: "Could I add you on WeChat?"

The man puts down his phone, his voice lazy. "You forget everyone you've slept with?"

Yu Feiran: "..."

Yu Feiran: "You've got the wrong person."

Duan Zhui says, "Oh," glances at the name tag around her neck, then raises an eyebrow and teases, "You have the same name as my ex-girlfriend?"

After buying her coffee and heading upstairs, Yu Feiran gets some bad news.

The young master Duan has parachuted into the company and become her direct superior.

Yu Feiran: ...

2.

While Yu Feiran waits for the elevator, her coworker messages her to gossip about the company.

Coworker: "Director Qiao from Planning confessed to General Manager Duan last week, and he scolded her until she cried."

Yu Feiran: "Director Qiao is gorgeous. Does he have something wrong with his eyes?"

The elevator arrives. Yu Feiran doesn't look up and accidentally bumps into Duan Zhui, dropping her phone.

Duan Zhui picks it up for her, his gaze cool as it sweeps over the screen. "No chatting during work hours."

Yu Feiran switches to a new battleground and starts badmouthing General Manager Duan with her coworker in a shared document. After only a few messages, Duan Zhui's name appears at the bottom of the document.

Duan Zhui: "You think what I say doesn't count?"

3.

The company goes camping on an island for a team-building trip. A male coworker confesses to Yu Feiran, and out of consideration for his feelings, she doesn't turn him down on the spot.

Duan Zhui tells her to come over with a dark expression, saying he wants to discuss the project she's working on.

When Yu Feiran returns, someone pities her. "Why does General Manager Duan make you work even when we're out having fun?"

No one knows that, just moments ago, in an empty spot beneath the lighthouse, Duan Zhui had held her chin and kissed her for a long time.

4.

Duan Zhui asks Yu Feiran to accompany him to a business reception. She slacks off in a corner, eating cake at her leisure.

On her phone, Duan Zhui sends her the shared document where he'd caught her chatting last time. Yu Feiran nervously opens it.

Duan Zhui: "Don't want to stay?"

Duan Zhui: "Want to go watch a movie with me?"

Before Yu Feiran can answer, a string of messages suddenly pops up in the document: "Say yes! Say yes!"

Yu Feiran: ?
