Starlight and Moonlight

Cool, aloof paper-cutting prodigy x Resilient inheritor of intangible cultural heritage | Rekindled Love

Hong Shiyue is a legend in the world of paper-cutting, cool and refined, yet burdened by the mystery of his origins.

Yu Jian is the second daughter of the Yu family, a girl they despise. Only when she picks up her scissors can she find her own light.

Ten years ago, she summoned the courage to ask him to take her as his apprentice. He cut her bangs himself and told her she was a lucky girl blessed by the Moon Goddess.

But their young love came to an abrupt end just when it burned brightest.

He approached her at first only to get revenge.

Separated in a foreign country for three years, she cut her longing into her work, while he clung to the starry-river lamp he'd made for her, struggling in the dark.

When they meet again, she is the director of an art museum, and he is a fallen prodigy.

He tears up the check she offers him, his gaze dark. "A Jian, I've never wanted the Yu family's money."

"The mountains and rivers remain. Can old friends meet again?"
