In the modern day, a years-long "revenge" slowly begins with a horrifying "suicide case."
Criminal Investigation Team Captain Mu Yan (gong) x disabled, scheming returnee Yi Chen (shou). Did these two people, tangled up in each other's lives, fall for each other at first sight, or was it all planned from the start? Beneath the cover of their multiple identities, layers of mystery obscure the truth. Is the hand driving everything from behind the scenes friend or foe? Who is the true mastermind? In the struggle between black and white, who occupies the gray area in between?
As the truth is painstakingly pieced together, it turns out the devil is nothing more than human nature swept along by desire.
What is love? This question spans two generations. A wrong beginning is the source of it all. How are the people caught in this massive whirlpool supposed to face their own hearts?
