[Mainly Reborn!] My LobCorp Control Disorder

Someone once told me: Humans cannot hide their souls.

We let ourselves drown in all kinds of activities, scatter our minds in every direction, and lose ourselves in sensory pleasures, until we can no longer see just how wondrous the human world truly is.

Some people may be dazzling, others unremarkable, but beneath their appearances, every person has a soul at their core.

The soul has a tendency to seek meaning. Even when there is none, only the trials of time and reality can reveal what deserves to exist with meaning.

Once, in my dreams, there was a ghostly will that lingered and would not fade away.

I staked everything on seeking meaning in my own existence, accepting a duty from a stranger.

After rereading those old letters, the time has come.

My existence will fade as time passes. That, too, is life. I will no longer light up my eyes as I look at the photographs of the past.

But humans are cursed to spend their whole lives busy thinking about something.

Perhaps we can control our thoughts to some extent, but we cannot shut down the process of thinking itself.

In the end, did I gain anything?

I was troubled by the meaning of my own existence. Now, what am I supposed to do?

And what of the future?

[Embrace the past and create the future.]

These are Lobotomy Corporation's mottos.

Mechuan Hezi, who has lost her memories and only remembers playing Lobotomy Corporation, is inexplicably told that she is dead. With the System, she transmigrates to Namimori, Japan, a land of auspicious feng shui and outstanding people. The System warns her not to take action on her own.

The System, good or bad, keeps shouting, "Maintain peace in this world!" Yet it has her collecting energy for Lobotomy Corporation and never tells her what she should do to move the plot of this world forward.

A new identity, a new life. Somehow she ends up working like a corporate drone, taking on the job of a manager responsible for having employees suppress Abnormalities. At first, the Corporation is desperately short-staffed as she struggles to get things up and running. Finally, things begin to improve. Seeing the departments expand one after another, she is about to smile with satisfaction when she belatedly realizes she missed a great chance to make a good impression on the people in the Katekyo Hitman Reborn! storyline.

But she does know this much: thanks to someone's "help," she somehow regained her memories of her previous life, and came to understand many things.

For example: what is lost can never come back.

Now that she is here, in Namimori, she is no longer in the underground laboratory of Lobotomy Corporation.

No matter how many regrets she has about the past, she can never go back to it.

Past, present, future...

When I remember everything...

It will be the end of my journey.
