Yu Daodao is 24 years old, useless, laid off from her job, and constantly docked pay delivering takeout.
Until a torrential rainstorm lasting seven days and seven nights arrives.
Humans contaminated by the rain grow iron arms and soft tentacles. Their bodies become heavy or light, and they lose their will as human beings.
Yu Daodao:
Huh? What's this, a little fish? If I touch it... I can swim!
Huh? What's this, a blob of slime? If I touch it... I can shapeshift!
Then come even more enormous, sanity-destroying fused creatures.
A hospital that breathes, a school that feels "warm," a town fused into one, a volcanic monster...
-
We argued and hurt each other without end,
until civilization vanished and the rain melted our eyes. Only then could we finally understand one another.
