A story about an ordinary girl who changes the course of her life and unexpectedly finds love.
In her twenties, Yuan Weiwei spent the best years of her youth working herself to the bone, and all her remaining time nursing a secret crush. Other people dated someone new every year. In eight years, she hadn't managed to date anyone at all. In the end, she simply quit her job and switched careers, becoming a server at a bakery.
The bakery's bread was delicious, its coffee rich and fragrant, and even the owner was a feast for the eyes.
So whenever the handsome owner, Chen Nian, set a trap for her, she jumped right in. Before she knew it, she had finally started dating at the age of thirty-one.
Yuan Weiwei had no experience and only knew how to give her all like a fool. Unfortunately, a tree blooming after years of dormancy doesn't necessarily bear fruit.
As for Chen Nian, you could say he had a temper, but most of the time he turned a blind eye to what went on in the shop. You could call him easygoing, but when he lost his temper, he could make even the shop door tremble. When he was working, he seemed unbelievably diligent. When he was feeling lazy, it was as if money meant nothing to him.
Yuan Weiwei was a rookie, and her first relationship was set to hard mode.
“Thanks so much for helping me today. Um, you can take it out of my pay.”
“How much do you think I'm worth?”
The boss had taught her things and even driven her around. How much was that worth?
Yuan Weiwei hated that her already below-average social skills couldn't come up with anything both appropriate and clever. After stammering for a while, she said, “If there's ever anything I can do for you, I'm happy to help.”
“How about we drive back in the middle of the night and set up an altar so we can swear brotherhood?”
The pursuit portion of the story is relatively short. Overall, it's a lighthearted slice-of-life with a large ensemble cast and a warm tone. The heroine is a little dim and not good at handling relationships, while the hero is exceptionally even-tempered and finds his daily joy in teasing her.
A friendly warning: this story includes a same-sex couple, so please proceed with caution if that's not your cup of tea.
Theme: Treasure what's before you, treasure what your heart yearns for, and treasure the things your heart yearns for that you can hold in your hands right now.
I read it in one day. It would be nice if I wrote more about the breakup part later.
Does this excuse the aging? At least a month of cold violence and breakup can be forgiven so easily? Can't understand
I don't really like the character of the male protagonist who doesn't say anything. I feel like the two of them don't have the communication they need to live together.
I finished it in two days, and every character in "Guaiguai" is warm and considerate 🐰
Ogawa's boyfriend's intimate behavior in front of unexpected people, including his family not knowing that he is gay, is a big contradiction behind this.
So pretty!! I haven't left a message for a long time. This novel is so heartwarming!
It's great. I finished reading it in one sitting today.
It's very interesting, but I don't like what Liu Wei said. The heroine may be innocent in part because of the protection of the previous one, but it's not that the heroine begged for this protection. I can only say that it's no wonder he got divorced in the end. He deserves it.
Looks good and has good writing skills!
My parents almost didn't give me the name heroine back then.
