Night One: Hallucination
A twisted world, like shattered glass, with a piercing, broken beauty. The captive boy opened his sea-colored eyes, reflecting the darkness. Blackness was its gorgeous adornment, traced with patterns of flame that shimmered beneath the starlight. His soul was gone.
[I have always been running through the darkness.]
It was a hallucination no one had ever seen through.
Running through the darkness, because only darkness would never betray your existence. Darkness lured you with whispered temptations, tugging at your body. It was a drug that numbed the nerves. Orange juice swirled in a wineglass, giving off a warm fragrance, like a rose blooming in the night. The demon smiled and reached out both hands. A lonely figure floated through the night, a soul with nowhere to turn, a child marked from birth. An addictive smile appeared at the corner of the demon's lips, carrying a dangerous beauty.
The child lost in the illusion stood barefoot in the darkness. The instant they lifted their head, they seemed to feel blood flowing.
