Su Fuling is the most famous doctor in town. One day, a wealthy family moves in, and Su Fuling is summoned to treat their frail young lady, Miss Xie. Xie has been weak since birth, relying on medicinal decoctions to stay alive. Her family treats her like a porcelain doll, afraid she'll break or melt away at the slightest touch.
Su Fuling spends a month at the Xie residence. Over that month, she watches Xie Yao go from being unable to get out of bed to bouncing around full of energy. Just as Su Fuling has completed her work and is about to leave, Xie Yao grabs her and refuses to let her go, insisting that she take responsibility.
