A not-so-bright, hilarious Taoist priestess vs. the peachwood sword (a real scoundrel) of a Taoist who only wants to become an immortal
Tan Jing is the last Taoist priest in the apocalypse. Her training is poor, humanity worships science, and business at her temple is terrible.
But on the very day the temple is about to close for good, the zombie outbreak begins. Business at the temple explodes, and so the Taoist priestess and her peachwood sword set off on an adventure to fight zombies in the apocalypse.
P.S. This story involves metaphysical knowledge. The author’s own training is poor, too, so please don’t blindly apply anything you read here. The story mainly follows a funny and heartwarming route.

Something unexpected happened on the day the temple was supposed to close for good.
Female lead: Hello, police? I’d like to report something. The peachwood sword in my temple suddenly grew two legs.
Officer: What kind of legs?
Female lead: Human legs... They’re even wearing pants...
Officer: How big is the sword? Can it really grow human legs? Did they grow sideways or upright?
Female lead: Upright, upright. The hilt’s on top, and the tip part is gone. It grew legs. The sword got bigger, so there’s room for two legs.
Officer: It got bigger? If it changed, how can you be sure it’s still the same sword?
Officer: (Quietly, apparently talking to a colleague) Have you figured out where she is? The young woman sounds like she’s having a mental health crisis. We need to find her right away.
Female lead: I’m not sick! It really grew legs. My peachwood sword has a distinctive grain, and there’s a copper coin left by the founding master hanging on it. How could I not recognize it? I’m the only officially certified Taoist priest in the world!
Officer: All right, I understand. You’re not sick. Can you stay where you are and wait for us to come get you?
Female lead: Sure. My address is XXXXXX...
Officer: (Quietly, apparently talking to a colleague) We’ve calmed her down. Hurry to the scene...
Female lead: Thank you.
Officer: What’s that noise outside? (A long stretch of static...) Zombies! There are zombies!
Female lead: Zombies? There can’t be zombies these days. The zombie progenitor was wiped out by my founding master back then. Huh? The sword’s legs are gone? It changed back? Why did it grow a head?! It’s talking? Maybe I really am going crazy...
Officer: Help! Zombies! (Static... The call disconnects...)
