The Man in the Cage [Mystery]

[A touch of Lovecraftian horror + sci-fi + mystery]

I lost my job.

For months after graduation, I couldn't even land a single interview.

Rent in Kyoto was high. Even the scholarship money I'd saved by scrimping through college wasn't enough to cover the shortfall.

So when a studio called <Cthulhu Translations> sent me an offer, I didn't think twice. I immediately replied to the email and accepted the invitation.

[This short story was inspired by Clark Ashton Smith's The Return of the Sorcerer. Some content was also adapted from H. P. Lovecraft's Necronomicon, with annotations in the text.]
