Today Is a Good Day to Slacken Off

Yu Xian has a life motto.

You slack off, I slack off, and the boss's BMW becomes an electric bike.

A life without slacking off? What kind of life is that?

So she always clocked in at the last minute and made sure to use the restroom every day, four times a day, half an hour each time.

She couldn't be the only one improving. Her goal was to help all her coworkers improve together.

*

Then HR called her in for a talk.

[People whose names start with Z, I'd advise you to think twice.]

A certain Mr. Z saved her from her miserable life.

But he couldn't save his own coworker.

Out of spite, that coworker posted a photo of the company's most important person online, exposing him to the world.

By pure coincidence, Yu Xian saw it.

*

[I hear you're dating my daughter. I'll have to see what you're made of.]

The Yu family really did have a way of catching the real deal: Zhou Shi'an himself.

Before long, Zhou Shi'an noticed the employee who had just been made permanent at his company.

In keeping with the principle of making discreet inspections incognito, he became an intern too, and worked his way to Yu Xian's side.

*

[Don't say your master never taught you. Make sure you memorize the rules.]

Yu Xian shouted at the top of her lungs!

[You slack off, I slack off, and the boss's BMW becomes an electric bike!]

[You work overtime, I work overtime, and the boss gets a new mistress every year!]

[You don't work, I don't work, and the boss will be scavenging tomorrow!]

[You slack off, I slack off, and the boss becomes a homeless bum!]

Zhou Shi'an's veins bulged as he forced two words through clenched teeth: [Very good.]

*

A silly, lighthearted, sweet romance. Don't overthink it.

The main point is: under no circumstances should we let the boss make money!

Theme: Work is just how you make ends meet. Life is what living is all about.
