Playing the Male Lead's Rival in Love Again Today

After a high fever, Ning Zhou awakened to his own existence.

It turned out this world was a badly concluded novel, and he was the short-lived beloved of its obsessive male lead.

The author suddenly won a huge lottery, so they tossed out an outline and hurriedly wrapped things up:

Ning Zhou and the male lead finally got together, only for Ning Zhou to die in an accident on his nineteenth birthday. The male lead went dark and sought revenge against society because of his death, bringing down the entire world along with him.

The bad news: He has less than a year left to live.

The good news: The male lead already has someone else in his heart and hasn't fallen for him yet.

Ning Zhou swears to take control of his own life and change that terrible ending!

Rumor has it that Jiang Huai, the male lead, has feelings for his childhood friend Yan Luo. They both like each other, but neither is willing to confess first.

Ning Zhou: I'm shipping them!

The very next day, a carload of roses is delivered to Yan Luo with a grand declaration of love.

Later...

Jiang Huai and Yan Luo have breakfast together, so Ning Zhou invites Yan Luo to go for a night drive.

Jiang Huai and Yan Luo attend a university lecture, so Ning Zhou immediately invites Yan Luo to star in a campus promotional video.

One day, the two of them have a huge fight, and Jiang Huai tells Ning Zhou to stay away from Yan Luo.

Ning Zhou: Plan successful!

He diligently plays the male lead's rival in love, trying to cut their ill-fated bond and save the world.

He never expected the male lead's obsessive side to emerge early. Jiang Huai pins him to a soft bed and grits out, "Do you like him that much?"

Everyone at school knows Ning Zhou and Jiang Huai are rivals in love.

At one school anniversary event, the two happen to draw the same performance slot.

The onlookers all say, "If those two wind up together, forget singing. They'll probably start fighting backstage."

The next day, a video is posted on the school forum.

The onlookers are stunned: They did fight, but can someone tell me why Jiang Huai and Yan Luo are the ones fighting?!
