[Blurb]
Hounded to the end of his rope by his own mother, the immortal Tomie, Kawakami Yukihua chose to leave the horror world he’d been living in and go to another one.
The new world was a scientific, materialist one. Most people believed in science, and monsters were nothing more than urban legends.
Just as Kawakami Yukihua was happily thinking that he could finally live a normal, ordinary life, he spotted an extra black shadow in the home of the kind couple who had kindly taken him in.
Kawakami Yukihua: !!!
So much for this being a scientific world!
Seven-year-old Hiroshi Morofushi had been very happy lately. His parents had brought home a cute little sister. She was sweet and pretty, everything he’d hoped for in a younger sister.
As he spent time with her, his observant nature led him to notice a few strange things about her.
His little sister, Yukihua, wandered around the house in the middle of the night, as if looking for something. She talked to herself in empty rooms, and black shadows flickered past. She didn’t like bright sunlight and preferred being active at night. Sometimes she would disappear for a while, then return with bloodstains and wounds on her body...
These strange things worried Hiroshi. He wondered whether someone was hurting his adorable little sister, and the young boy resolved to protect her.
Until that night came...
After that night was over, young Hiroshi understood two things.
First, his beautiful little sister, who looked like a doll, was actually a boy.
Second, monsters really did exist in this world, and some of them ate people.
Reader’s Guide:
1. No romance. A story about friendship and family, with a touch of horror.
2. The protagonist inherited some of Tomie’s unusual traits: her looks, an aura that attracts bad people, and the ability to heal through rapid cell regeneration. However, he isn’t as powerful or terrifying as Tomie.
3. Some of the nonhuman creatures in the story come from Junji Ito’s works, while others are adapted from legends. They aren’t invincible and can be killed if you exploit their weaknesses.
4. The members of the police academy group won’t die. I don’t like tragedies or angst.
5. Fanfiction inevitably comes with some out-of-character moments and lots of original details. Hope you enjoy reading.
