It starts in the present, then goes back to the past. Once the flashbacks reach the time of the opening, the storylines come together!! 4. Special note: I wanted to write the kind of story where, after the shou goes through certain things, he treats the gong coldly but doesn’t leave him; the gong sincerely repents, then totally breaks down and cries little pearls because his wife is still distant. So there’s no “chasing the wife to the crematorium” arc here (he doesn’t chase, he can’t catch up. His wife won’t leave him, but still gives him no positive feedback, so he spends his whole life on tenterhooks) (”whole life” is an exaggeration, the story has a happy ending). 5. Both leads have flaws in their personalities and how they handle things. Those flaws make the story. Zhou is a glass-hearted little girl. I’ve written a very long list of warnings, so if you can’t accept them, please don’t read it and then come back to scold me, sob. 6. Written for my personal tastes. I have too much of it stockpiled, so the main story has gone completely off the rails. If you’re uncomfortable, little darlings, just stop reading. 7. The plot has been cleared with the editor, and the flashbacks move at a brisk pace.
