My profile also features the completed thriller The 1102 Building and the upcoming The Strange Occurrences Consulting Room. If you enjoy thriller mysteries, twists, and snark, don't miss them!
Synopsis:
He Youxiu and her childhood friend Chen Hushuo, whom she hadn't seen in years, were transported into a high-risk, eerie, suspenseful school-life game with a bad ending, based on a script he had written. Honestly, who knew so many words could go together? Thanks for being such a genius, childhood friend.
Although she started from the start as a fragile player with a level-zero stat sheet, her childhood friend's game character came with a warehouse full of game items and rare supplies. Add in her talent, "Never Fail an Exam," and his, "Silver Tongue," and maybe this game was playable after all.
But He Youxiu soon discovered the game's malice. The main storyline kept pinning things on her and giving her an arrogant persona. The teammates who volunteered to join her, even resorting to trickery, had identity cards from the three great hidden families and the old and new royal houses. It was hard to believe they weren't planning something.
To clear the game and get back to the real world as soon as possible, He Youxiu had no choice but to follow the plot and pretend to be confident and disdainful of everyone.
"I'm going to come first in the new student entrance exam."
"Boss! Boss! Boss!"
"What are we going to do?"
"Cause trouble! Cause trouble! Cause trouble!"
I heard this young lady casually killed three students from the royal capital's nobility on her way to school, then burned down all sixty experimental villages! ...She wrote three big words in bright red blood: "Unqualified." Someone like He Youxiu...
"That's not like me at all! What kind of impression did I give them? Why would anyone think I'd do something like that?" He Youxiu grabbed Chen Hushuo by the collar and shook him hard.
And the game's so-called storyline consisted of one horror tale after another.
"So what am I supposed to do about the fires you told me to start? It was a rare day's work, after all. You wanted everyone to experience the joy of putting out fires, so you had me start so, so many." -- Ten-Day Village
"Inside the box, it tried hard to draw its limbs close, as if that would let it piece itself back together. Sanbao watched calmly: If only you were a little stronger." -- The Giant Village: Prologue
"Did we just step into the tomb they prepared for us, one step at a time? Are we going to freeze to death here? Xiaobai, charge the wall with your iron headbutt!" -- Abandoned Township
After solving the mysteries in those horror stories, He Youxiu was shocked to discover that this game world wasn't really a game, and they weren't entering the "game" for the first time.
The person who chose to restart the game and trap everyone in a loop was her.
Was I the mastermind all along?
"Congratulations, player, on completing the main quest 'King Slayer.' All main quests required to clear the game have been completed. The special main quest 'Utopia' remains unfinished. Would you like to continue the quest or proceed directly to the ending?"
"Continue the game."
She remembered. All of this was to break the "inevitable" ending and save both worlds... This time, they would clear the game for good!
*******The following is an upcoming story*******
The Strange Occurrences Consulting Room
A story about a woman with precognitive abilities and her twin younger brothers, who open a consulting room for strange occurrences and solve one eerie, terrifying case after another. There are real ghosts and fake ghosts, plenty of twists that will give you chills when you think about them, and the same lighthearted, snarky tone as this thriller. I'll start writing once it gets enough bookmarks. Thanks for your support!
First Strange Occurrence: The Land God
"So, young master, you're saying that after your grandfather's funeral, you moved back into the old house and kept encountering strange things. You sent your troublemaking uncle, cousin, older male cousin, and younger paternal aunt to prison, but the weird stuff hasn't stopped, and you can't figure out why?"
"Looking at this covered walkway, your old house must originally have belonged to two families before it was joined together, right?"
"Your neighbors don't think they've moved out."
Second Strange Occurrence: More or Less
"Right, the numbers don't add up, and you're sure your memory is fine. Got it."
"Friend, have you heard of priming? People tend to connect unrelated things based on their preconceived ideas."
"But the thing you should really worry about is scarier than the strange occurrences. Don't worry, my younger brothers are here. Two against twenty is no problem."
The xxth Strange Occurrence: Wind Chimes
"I've been meaning to ask, why do you always ring the wind chimes before resolving a strange occurrence?"
"Good question, young master. It's to let my boyfriend know I'm nearby."
"Huh?"
"I get it. How can a grown man still get lost?"
"Wait, you have a boyfriend?!"
Theme: Life keeps moving forward in cycles
I feel very sorry for my wife that she is still being questioned even though she is just drawing prizes for fun. My wife will also replenish coins for those who didn't win, and give you some mines. I am happy to see that the actual number of subscribers is far more than four, and I hope this book will get better and better.
I'll add a comment to my wife, the topics she writes are super interesting! Hope the next one will be better!
Damn, why didn't I win the prize? Please take a look! It seems like a total of 4 are ordered, right?
Congratulations on the completion 🤗 Looking forward to pre-receipt 🤩
