The bar was thick with a languid, decadent air.
Lin Tingyan lounged in the corner of a booth. Jin Li had slipped inside, looking out of place.
A friend beside him spotted her right away and excitedly bumped Lin Tingyan's arm. "That girl keeps looking at you. She's so damn pure-looking, so sweet."
"Sweet?" Lin Tingyan gave a wicked laugh.
That sweet girl had used the excuse of getting into his car last night, then pushed her luck and climbed onto his lap.
Jin Li walked over. Amid a chorus of teasing, she leaned in to light his cigarette. Lin Tingyan smiled, holding the cigarette between his teeth as he asked playfully, "Trying to seduce me?"
"I have a fiancée."
He looked at her as if she were a plaything throwing herself at him.
Later, when Jin Li tried to leave, he stopped her like a madman. The tables had turned: he pursued, and she retreated.
He kept pressing forward, step by step. Jin Li was gentle and elegant, her voice calm to the point of coolness. "Didn't you say you had a fiancée?"
Lin Tingyan admitted defeat. His eyes gradually reddened. "I was shameless. I wouldn't leave you alone. Is that what you want to hear?"
When they broke up, Lin Tingyan finally learned that the girl's deliberate approach had been an act of revenge.
They met again at her engagement banquet.
At the top of a luxury hotel, her fiancé searched for Jin Li for over two hours, but she was nowhere to be found.
On the other side of a wall, in a dim room.

Lin Tingyan took a drag of his cigarette, watching her eyes as he gripped her neck and kissed her.
Jin Li choked and coughed. Amid the swirling smoke, she heard him speak, each word dark and menacing: "If you wag your tail at someone else, I'll strangle you."
