Xiao Ming is an actor blessed with extraordinary talent. In just three years in the industry, he won the highest awards in film, television, and theater. Even more remarkable, in the five or six years since his debut, he had risen steadily without a single scandal.
Amid all the praise, only Xiao Ming knew that his vitality was slowly fading beneath the glitter of fame and fortune. Outside of filming, he was practically "alive but as good as dead." Then Lu Yuning, who understood everything yet took nothing to heart, appeared before him, and Xiao Ming felt as if the world had come alive again.
And so the celebrated Best Actor began diligently cultivating the virtues of a capable househusband and practicing the seductive charms of Daji;
he studied the ways of a green tea and mastered the art of the white lotus;
sometimes he was too delicate to do anything for himself, and sometimes he was invincible and capable of anything.
In short, he was not at all normal.
The people around him soon reached a conclusion: the Best Actor was sick. He had a disease called "lovesick brain," or, more precisely, a disease called "Lu Yuning brain"...
***A preview of my upcoming novel, The Little Golden Pig Wants to Chew Coarse Bran***
To put an end to the little golden pig's plans to start a business, his father kicked him into the entertainment industry. The little golden pig wreaked havoc on set, hoping the other guy would tell him to get lost.
The producer couldn't take it anymore, but didn't want to offend the little golden pig's father, a powerful investor. So he pointed him in a direction: "See that living menace? If he wants you gone, nobody will dare keep you."
The little golden pig's eyes lit up. He paid a high price to gather "A Hundred Little Things That Can Make Chu Kang Furious" and slapped a bank card loaded with five million in front of Chu Kang, who had a buzz cut and was covered in mud. "Filming is so hard. Why don't you come work for me instead?"
Chu Kang: This guy must be seriously ill in the head.
As they kept messing around, the little golden pig really did fall for coarse bran. Then, when a powerful mogul used Chu Kang to threaten him and force him into submission, the little golden pig knew it was a trap, but still went alone.
Chu Kang: This guy is definitely seriously ill in the head.
Later, the little golden pig was talking with Chu Kang about what had led him to join the entertainment industry, and casually asked, "Did your dad make you join the entertainment industry because he was afraid you'd start a business too?"
Chu Kang: Could it be that I founded half the entertainment industry?
The little golden pig was dejected. The little golden pig was miserable. The little golden pig couldn't chew on coarse bran anymore, because coarse bran turned out to be a freakin' gold nugget!
If you like it, don't forget to add it to your favorites!
