As the central administrative authority of the underworld, the Netherworld has a well-structured and comprehensive organization. It has more than a dozen functional departments, including the Judges' Office, the Reincarnation Office, and the Ghost Messenger Bureau, forming a scientific, standardized, and regulated system in which every department has its own duties and operates efficiently.
One day, a clerk who wanted to die met a woman who didn't.
Woman: “Frontline workers wear out their bodies, and senior management wears out their brains. Middle management is the sweet spot: money and free time. Give me ten years, and I'll help you climb to middle management.”
The veteran clerk said nothing and turned to jump into the Reincarnation Tower.
Woman: “...”
She picked up the ID badge on the ground, put on the Black and White Impermanence masks, and linked arms with Ox-Head. “Sis, let's go, let's go. It's quitting time.”
From then on, she took over as White Impermanence and flourished, rising through the ranks.
But even after becoming a ghost deity, she couldn't escape the KPIs she had to meet.
Luckily, she now had money and power. With those two things, it was almost like having cheat codes in the mortal world.
She was going to have it all: career and love.
Whether it was an older man with a cold face or a younger puppy-like guy, she would take them all.
It wasn't because she was lecherous. It was the perfect time to blossom. If she didn't pluck them, she'd seem like she didn't know how to appreciate romance.
