After marrying the eldest son of the Tsugikuni family, I lived in mutual respect with my husband. Then one day, he brought home the younger brother who had left the family years ago. I remembered having met this quiet, taciturn young man before.

Not long afterward, my husband became a monster, no longer human, and I became a widow.

One rainy night, Yoriichi entered the Tsugikuni estate and held out his hand to me.

If you have nowhere else to go, come with me.

That's what he said.
