Twelve Letters to My Late Wife

You've only been gone a few days, but it feels as if decades have passed.

But you told me to live well and not come looking for you before my time.

All right, then. I'll write you letters. That should be okay, right?

One letter a month. I hope you won't get tired of me.

This is the twelfth letter.

My love, I'm having a hard time holding on.

I'm coming to find you.

*Epistolary format

*Content warning: tragic ending

(If you think a double death counts as a happy ending, then this story can be called one, too.)

Theme: In life and death, we are bound together.
