When Xingxi Kingdom invades Yueming Kingdom, Ling Ye, son of General Lingxiao of Mingyue Kingdom, volunteers to fight the Xingxi forces. He wins, but loses his memory and is rescued by people from the Affairs Pavilion. Hoping to recover his memories, he often goes out to deal with ghostly and demonic disturbances, as well as mysterious cases.
He meets Xiao Mingling, whose identity is far from simple and who seems like someone he once knew.
In the end, he discovers that nothing is simple.
