[Mechanical heart x feral and untamable] [Powerful leads, younger gong raised by the shou] [Love and hate]
The term “interstellar poacher” became famous because of one man: Qi Han.
At nineteen, he took over as the Alliance’s Grand Marshal. At twenty-two, he pacified the entire Ark Beta-3679. At twenty-three, he became famous throughout the Beta Galaxy.
He was invincible in battle, undefeated in every campaign.
Until, at twenty-five, he was accused of betraying the Alliance by a joint petition. The wolf cub he had raised shot him through the heart, using a gun technique exactly like his own.
In the post-interstellar year 5094, the world no longer had its spirited, ambitious, youngest-ever Alliance Grand Marshal. All that remained was an interstellar poacher with a high-mobility nanomaterial mechanical heart.
Every interstellar poacher knew not to mention Jiang Feng in front of Qi Han. The consequences were dire: you would die.
Those two words were the one sore spot of this flamboyant, unrestrained uncrowned king.
So when Jiang Feng got into trouble and happened to show up in the poachers’ X System, the poachers kicked him while he was down, seized their chance to capture the seriously injured man, and delivered him bound hand and foot to Qi Han.
They got their wish. Qi Han, who had been doing combat training, stopped, cracked his knuckles, and looked over.
He walked up and looked down at the injured man. Then he raised his military boot and brought it down with tremendous force.
Everyone held their breath.
But with a sharp crunch, the shackles were crushed underfoot. Qi Han tipped up Jiang Feng’s chin, pressing a finger to the wound at the corner of his mouth and picking up dried blood.
He tilted his head. The pressure of his hand kept increasing, but his voice was full of restraint and madness. “Who did this?”
Jiang Feng was a cat-type hybrid experiment with no name and no past.
Everyone said he was ruled by instinct and impossible to tame. Only Qi Han taught him to obey the rules of human society and become a real person.
Helping an elderly woman cross the street. On the outside: calm and indifferent. On the inside: Why not just smash all these floating metal blocks?
Sparring fairly with teammates. On the outside: Pulling his punches. On the inside: What a hassle. I could just bite through his throat and finish this.
Qi Han gives him instructions before a mission. On the outside: I’ll stay home and behave. On the inside: I’ll lock him in the nest, where he can only be with me (beep--).
Jiang Feng licked his paw.
He became a “person” who could perfectly follow the rules of human society.
Until one day, in accordance with Article 232 of the Interstellar Alliance Code he had always obeyed, he personally fired a cold bullet into Qi Han’s heart.
Later, that flamboyant man appeared before him once again. He scooped up Jiang Feng, covered in wounds, and asked through gritted teeth who had done it.
Jiang Feng leaned “weakly” against Qi Han’s shoulder, the corner of his mouth lifting in a faint smile.
The mechanical heart made of high-mobility nanomaterial still beat for him.
Bonus Scene:
As a half-beast white tiger experiment, Jiang Feng had a heat cycle, and it was unstable.
Qi Han tried every method he could think of to deal with the little cub Jiang Feng’s heat: exercise to distract him, medication to suppress it, patient instruction, and force to restrain him. Then, on the day Jiang Feng passed the basic human psychology test and the Alliance military exam, he went into heat again.
Qi Han didn’t have suppressants on hand, and the little cub had just been injured in the exam. Qi Han couldn’t bring himself to use force, so he chose the most primitive and straightforward way to help Jiang Feng through his heat.
He could just consider it Jiang Feng’s coming-of-age ceremony.
Jiang Feng was so excited that his fluffy ears and tail came out, but he still remembered to surreptitiously check Qi Han’s reaction. “Did I do something wrong? Did I hurt you?”
Qi Han was nearly unconscious, but still busy lying to comfort him. “It doesn’t hurt, uh... keep going.”
The little tiger took him at his word and nodded, becoming even more focused.
“Mm...” Qi Han, Grand Marshal and seasoned military strategist who had never once regretted a decision, regretted one for the first time in his life.
Damn it, nobody told me the little cub had barbs!
Pairing: Jiang Feng x Qi Han. The gong is a cool, handsome, seemingly moral and self-controlled mad tiger who is actually feral and untamable. The shou is a flamboyant, powerful, arrogant daredevil on the surface, but has weathered many storms and remains true to himself. Both are crazy. Younger gong.
Reading Guide
1. One-on-one pairing, both leads are powerful. The gong is an experiment with half-beast and beast forms, a little tiger! They dote on each other! Both have strong feelings! Qi Han is the shou! Don’t get them mixed up, everyone!
2. Set in a futuristic world, with many original details. The romance is a major focus.
3. Overall bittersweet, with melodrama everywhere, but my couple gets a happy ending.
