A Middle Eastern Assassin in the Bat Family

[Coming soon: "818 Pemberley's Green Lantern Ring", a Fran pairing, a Green Lantern girl and an illusionist's country romance.] [One more plug for my friend's upcoming story, "How to Become a Supporting Character [Western Crossover]". It's a treasure of a story with tons of obscure heroes. Why not give it a look?] [Ahem, up next is my friend's ongoing story, "[Western Crossover] When Jason Meets Jessica". Shocking! The Red Hood's counterpart is Gotham's most popular guy!] Aurora Ibn Rahad was the most capable confidante (and biggest headache) under the Assassin Mentor Altaïr. By that, I mean she posed no threat to Altaïr's standing among the Assassins, but would make him lose face as an educator. Just kidding. Aurora was one of the most talented Assassins of her generation, and was even called the most likely person to inherit Altaïr's mantle. Unfortunately, she died young during a mission that should have been fairly simple. Then she came back to life, but not quite. In fact, Aurora had been having the same dream every day for a long time. In the dream, there was a brand-new, completely different organization of Assassins on the land beneath her: the League of Assassins. She didn't agree with the League's ideals, but she met a wonderful friend there, the only person who could see her. Damian. Well, now she knew it hadn't been a dream. Damn it, could people really transmigrate after they died? Even if they could, couldn't she at least have come back as something other than a ghost? Still, having someone familiar in this strange world was wonderful. Thinking that, she quite comfortably settled into being the ghost at Damian's side. The future world was great, even if she couldn't touch anything... or could she? That's right. It was a little sudden, but now she had a body again. So, billionaire next door in Gotham, would you mind your son moving into your house with his childhood friend?
