Kamiyama Ren is a promising first-year volleyball star at Shiratorizawa, but a year later, before he can even properly make his debut, he transfers out in spectacular fashion.
Why? I'm a backup outside hitter. With Ushijima-san being that good, what am I even supposed to do?
I've warmed up the bench for you, bro. Want some water, bro? That last spike was awesome, bro. I collected your fans' flowers for you, bro.
He'd practically become Shiratorizawa's volleyball manager in spirit, custom-made for Wakatoshi Ushijima.
Of course, Kamiyama Ren knew this was an essential part of growing up, so he was happy to be a personal secretary, too. After all, he could learn from the absolute king. Given enough time, he'd become a pretty impressive little king himself.
What he didn't realize was that his evolution might not lead to becoming a little king. He might become the king of the bench instead.
Then, during practice, he had the sudden idea of switching to being a receiving specialist. He was unexpectedly hit square in the face by one of Wakatoshi Ushijima's spikes.
Three and a half flips in the air, then a glorious back-first landing in the afterlife.
At that moment, Kamiyama Ren felt the pure force of that strength more directly than anyone. And so this future legendary king of taking hits quickly changed his goals.
Sporting a pig's face, he fended off his teammates' heartfelt, tearful concern while searching on the phone hidden in his bedding for templates for a club withdrawal and transfer application.
I'm done with volleyball.
"Join the Karasuno Volleyball Club, my friend! Our goal is to defeat Shiratorizawa!"
Kamiyama Ren looks up at the tall, powerfully built Karasuno wing spiker beside the passionate club captain. The stern face of General Ushijima appears in his mind, and his face twitches.
"Sorry, my face hurts."
1. The pairing isn't decided yet. Everyone gets a romantic storyline, but the protagonist is dense, so I'll see where the story goes.
2. The protagonist is strong, but not in the usual invincible way. This is a growth story. The setting has quite a few clues and details, so the early chapters may feel cryptic. I hope you'll be patient and keep reading. He has another reason for transferring, and details about his first year will be filled in through flashbacks later.
3. I'm obsessed with power levels. The volleyball matches won't be written by an expert, but I'll describe them in quite a bit of detail.
4. Drawing is my main hobby. I'll post some character designs and doodles from time to time. Check the profile for the secret number if you're interested.
5. Please add the story to your favorites and leave comments! I read all of them. I haven't written in a long time, and my writing skills are limited, so some parts of the story may not come across well. I'm happy to discuss and exchange ideas!
Theme: Truly youthful and springlike
Mr. Kaminuma is a must-have funny item for the volleyball club. It has its own program effect and can catch horses for a long time.
Lao, you took the tonic and lie flat again. Get up and update the article quickly, or I'll send you to sleep on the night. I miss you so much.
I think the interaction between Tendo and Kaminuma is so cute I like to see a little bit of Shennuma's horse-falling
By the way, where has the author gone?
I'm such a loser, where did I go from here?
Boss, don't lie down. You're going to finish the summer. Please update quickly.
Hahahaha, click on this song I want to escape but can't and give it to Shennuma
Well, the three of us come back and get beaten together.
The boss doesn't know what time he brushed it ⊙⊙Just like feeding a cat, feed me a bite [Heartbroken][Heartbroken]
I've watched a lot of commercials, boss, why haven't you been resurrected yet (╥_╥)
