[Blurb]
As soon as she graduated from college, Bai Luo got engaged to her boyfriend of three years, Ming Sheng. Their sweet preparations for the wedding were about to begin.
But the day after their engagement party, Ming Sheng disappeared for a week, and Bai Luo couldn't find him no matter how hard she tried.
When he finally reappeared, all he said was, "Let's move up the wedding. I want to have it in December. Is that okay?"
They had originally planned to marry the following June, on the anniversary of the day they got together.
Only later did she learn that December 18 was also the anniversary of Ming Sheng's mother's death.
On the day of the wedding, paint was splashed across the pristine white dress.
"Ming Sheng, did you ever love me?"
"If you won't answer, then come to hell with me..."
[Reader's Guide]
1. Inspired by a painting I saw online. In it, a girl lies down, holding up her skirt as she dances. Her wedding dress is splashed with colorful paint, like sunlight refracting across its folds. The girl's face is blurred, and the background is a muted dark brown, giving the whole piece a tragic air.
2. I once shared a short piece of writing inspired by a fleeting thought about this painting with a friend, and that led to a discussion about an exceptionally melodramatic bad-ending story. In short, this is a very melodramatic, illogical story, with more angst for the heroine than the hero, and an inconsistent plot.
3. This story won't be updated anymore. I gave the inspiration back to my friend. I can't be bothered to delete the blurb, so I'll leave it here for fun.
