Strange things keep happening at school in a single day: terrifying dreams, bizarre paintings, students going mad... Everything seems to hint that something is about to happen...
Then, after evening study, a teacher mutates. The students around him soon turn into zombies too. Lian Huai is trapped in a classroom by a horde of zombies, but one foolish yet clever zombie smashes the window and climbs inside.
“Ah!” Lu Ding gapes.
Lian Huai slaps the zombie across the face.
Get lost! If you can't bite people, why become a zombie?
Though it seems like that might not be up to him?
The zombie horde also climbs through the window. In desperation, Lian Huai can only jump from the fifth floor, and the foolish zombie jumps after him!
Yet when Lian Huai wakes up, everything is back to normal, but the foolish zombie is still there!
Lian Huai realizes this isn't a dream. Based on what happens afterward, he deduces that he may have traveled through time.
Strangely, though, people's memories are becoming jumbled: memories vanish, memories that don't belong to them appear for no reason, and their mental worlds collapse... The zombie mutations and nightmares seem to be spreading along the timeline!
The nightmares twist time until cracks appear, forming fragments of time. Lian Huai takes the little zombie with him as they travel through these fragments, and unexpectedly recovers his lost memories. Had they known each other before?
But zombies are still spreading in the time before they met, and the end of the world is drawing near. Behind it all, there seems to be an even more mysterious mastermind...
