After years of getting nowhere in life, Du Chaoyan decided to end it.
Before she jumped into the lake, she said goodbye to her landlady, quit her cashier job, told the supermarket owner's wife that her husband was cheating on her, and cleared out the junk in her rented apartment.
Everything was ready.
Then, on her way there, she got a call from an unknown number.
She hadn't meant to answer, but accidentally tapped the button. A moment later, a soft body tackled her to the ground.
It was her old high school deskmate.
Theme: Walk toward the light and save a shattered soul.
