I Recycle Scrap Metal in the Wasteland
This world is desperately short of iron!
The world has become a wasteland. Earth's metal reserves are severely depleted, and nuclear contamination has devastated the planet's ecosystem.
Under the leadership of the organization Firmament, the surviving humans have built a tiny civilization. With no iron, humanity has gradually regressed to a primitive society, and some have even mutated and interbred to become beastmen.
With mechanical ascension out of reach, humans and intelligent beasts seek spiritual fulfillment in game worlds.
The real world is for survival; game worlds are where life happens. Different games also serve different purposes.
Sandbox games = shelters from the real world
RPGs = learning tools / skill exam papers
Mini-games = tools for stimulating mental power
Romance games = A-side: emotional repair kit; B-side: resolve-building tool
Sang Shao, once a game architect (commonly known as a System), was responsible for guiding users through games safely, courteously, and efficiently. By accident, she became bound to an iron-finding System in the real world.
Fail to meet the targets and she dies, but completing them unlocks unknown technologies: drones, mechs, robots.
Should she live comfortably and die happily in the game world, or search for a sliver of hope for survival in the perilous real world?
Sang Shao wants to live!
To survive, Sang Shao joins a metal recycling company and searches for scrap iron in nuclear-contaminated zones with her teammates.
Was the iron-finding System made by people in this world?
If not, who left her this dangerous weapon?
If it was, that means Earth once had no shortage of iron! Where did all the iron go?
Reader's guide:
1. The female lead is a beastman, but she refuses to admit it.
2. The female lead isn't royalty. She's an ordinary person who climbed up from the bottom through her own efforts. She has a past, but no complicated background. Ten generations up her family tree, she's still the most capable one.
3. The male lead isn't royalty either. He has a past, but no special background.
4. The story mainly follows the real-world search for iron. The game-world System's control abilities are the female lead's golden finger.
5. At the beginning, the female lead's iron-finding level is 0, but her game-creation ability is maxed out.
Ruthless, sharp-tongued beauty in poor health vs. patient, humble, devoted puppy of a man (maybe)
Theme: Fate is fickle, so we should be more compassionate
In the first chapter, he persuaded him to quit. Who is Xue Pan? The male protagonist is really nothing. He has been silent since he came up. If Baochai doesn't come out, he can't even protect anyone.
