When he was sixteen years old, he was adopted by a woman named Su, who was supposed to be sold to a noble family.
She taught Aris how to hunt, ride horses, swordsmanship, and more.
However, when she was twenty years old, Su left Yaris. She hoped that Yaris could become independent.

In late autumn, Aris saw Su dragging an injured person back home. Her hands were covered with dark red blood.
Yaris once thought that he would be killed by Su. As the time they spent together increased, he felt more and more that he was nothing to Su.
He didn't mean anything to Su, she just wanted to fulfill the promise she made to others.
But Yaris was still waiting for her, perhaps to reconfirm his significance to her, or perhaps to make herself give up.
When he was twenty-four years old, the plague was raging. The dying Aris was lying on the bed. In a blur of consciousness, he seemed to see Su. He thought it was the fantasy he saw before he died.
