An Addiction Too Painful to Speak Of

Everyone at Nanzhong knows I'm the school beauty's little sidekick.

When she tells me to go east, I wouldn't dare go west.

When she wants to rank first, I have to manipulate my scores and stay in second place year after year.

She gets everything she wants.

She's kind to everyone, yet treats me with a unique mix of rejection and disgust. It's become Nanzhong's greatest unsolved mystery.

So I can't figure it out either...

When I was at my lowest, she was the only one willing to help me.

Then the apocalypse arrived, and she died in my place.

She got infected and turned into a mindless zombie.

I feed her one crystal every day, waiting for the day her mind returns. Then I'll ask her to her face:

"Is it true what they say, that you like me?"

Theme: Never give up hope.
